The Crow’s Nest™ Biopsy Catchment System comes sealed in a sterile package, pre-loaded with 2.5 mL of phosphate buffer solution, and 2.5 mL of 2x concentrated DNA Shield™ Cell Lysing and nucleic acid preservation solution, ready for use immediately after a core needle biopsy. In the box around the sterile pack is an Instructions for Use (IFU) package insert.

– a liquid specimen stable at room temperature for five years – that’s even better for molecular testing than fixed tissue core from a paraffin block, because it hasn’t been damaged by formalin.
